After
some years of working with ArcInfo, NAVIGATE became a business partner of
ESRI Australia in 1997. Our initial focus was in the Defence space, but we
now concentrate on supporting all the ESRI core technology. Our
company also supports overseas ESRI business partners who develop product
on the ESRI core and whose products are used in the region (FME, IMF, GoSync,
Feature Analyst).
We
specialise in in the large scale, geospatial data management with SDE and
geodatabase models on all the mainstream databases platforms including Oracle,
SQL Server, Informix and DB2. Our GIS Lab includes ArcGIS, SDE, ArcIMS, the
DDK, the Geocoder Development Kit and MapObjects software and we are able
to develop and support all these technlogies on customer sites.
In
2002, Navigate developed ArcCensus and School Census in ESRI technology and
expanded these products into ArcCensus Enterprise and WebCensus. Our new (mid
2004) AusAddress product is similarly an ArcGIS extension and datapack.
In
recent years Navigate has specialised in the creation and support of datasets
for ESRI clients with the development of SDE models for the Sensis, Census
and PSMA datasets. We now have developed G-NAF for ArcGIS and further developed
the ArcGIS Geocoding capability with AusAddress and ArcGIS extension that
comes with data and an interface to help the user work with the national
address data.
Navigate
has also just completed development of the Business Analyst 8.3 for Australia
by incorporating several key demographic, spatial and business information
datasets into the ESRI Business Analyst product. Navigate was the first (and
currently the only) organisation outside of the USA to achieve this localisation.
In
2003/2004 Navigate was a beta program member for ArcIMS, ArcGIS and the
Interoperability Extension.
