ArcGIS StreetMap
Australia is for anyone who wants a tool for access to a nationwide street
network for visualization, geocoding, or routing in an ESRI ArcGIS environment.
The dataset is built on the Navteq NAVSTREETS dataset and comes delivered as
compressed ESRI SDC files so all of Australia fits on half a CDROM. A map
document file (mxd) is supplied which presents the data in a cartographically

accredited to teach 10G Oracle Spatial. Oracle University have expanded the past
syllabus into a three day 10G Fundamentals course and a subsequent two day
Advanced course.
The Fundamentals courses teaches students how to
model, create and index tables with spatial data and learn about Oracle's native
spatial data type. Students learn how to load and index spatial data into the
database and the use of spatial operators and functions for spatial query and
analysis operations. Oracle Spatial's Geocoder, Linear Referencing System
(LRS), coordinate systems support and the Oracle Application Server MapViewer
are also described.
The Fundamentals course is for those who are new to
Oracle Spatial and looking to improve their skills or those with a background in
desktop spatial systems wanting to investigate the advantages of geospatial
database capabilities for the enterprise.
The Advanced course includes new features of Oracle
Spatial 10g and the advanced Spatial indexing features, including local
partitioned spatial indexes, function based spatial indexes, and spatial indexes
on embedded spatial objects. Use of the GeoRaster datatype for images and grids
is included together with more details on the MapViewer and the Geocoder and
Router capabilities are covered in more detail. The new Topology datatype and
model are taught and the Network Data Model introduced. This course also covers
Spatial Analysis and Mining and the Oracle Workspace Manager.
The Advanced course is suitable for those who
have attended either the 10G Fundamentals or 9i Spatial course or those who have
extensive experience in working with Oracle Spatial.
