NAVMap Desktop
Data for ESRI Desktop StreetMap Extension and
ArcLogistics
NAVMap Desktop is a set of SDC files, with a SDC routing
service and an external ArcGIS geocoder and mxd for
ArcGIS and ArcLogistics.
NAVMap products are available for the Asia Pacific,
Middle East, South America and South African regions at
present. More countries are being added.
Product Description
NAVMap Desktop is a set of processed SDC files built from the Navteq Premium data. The
country datasets are highly compressed and include a
SDC network for Network Analyst and ArcLogistics operations.
The dataset also incorporates an
external SQL based and geocoding indices to enable geocoding on the street address
ranges found in the Navteq source data.
ESRI StreetMap
NAVMap Desktop is designed for fast access on the
Desktop either by ArcGIS or
ArcLogistics. A geocoding locator is provided and with
the ArcGIS StreetMap extension
enabled, a routing facility us activated using the SDC
routing service.

Layers
Layers Include Administrative Boundaries, Highways,
Major Roads, Railways, LandUse (Parks, Forests, Shopping
Centres, Industrial Areas etc) , Waterways and
fourteen separate Points of
Interest files.
Cartographic display is managed by an map document (mxd) devised by NAVIGATE and
maintained to provide a
similar look and feel across countries and NAVMap
product sets.
