NAVMap products are integrated into many elements of ESRI's broad suite of GIS products. ESRI users get instant access to sophisticated scaled cartography, Network analysis and geocoding functions as soon as they drag the files onto their system from the delivery disks.

NAVIGATE's data engineering processes use Oracle Spatial as the primary repository infrastructure and much of the processing leverages Oracle's advanced spatial functionality with stored procedures and the like. The wide variety of output formats are generated from the primary repository so producing Oracle compatible formats is straightforward.

NAVIGATE is the first and only organisation in the world to release NAVTEQ geospatial data for the Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise customer.

NAVIGATE has been actively building NAVMap for Smallworld data products.  NAVMap for Smallworld is delivered as a VMDS datastore with prebuilt cart

 NAVIGATE has has the ability to create coverages of raster maps that are generated from our NAVMap global vector map products using the advanced cartography ability of ArcGIS. The advantage of this approach is the flexibility and extensibility for the customer’s benefit. If required, NAVIGATE has the ability to further customise many aspects of the final product to the customer’s specific requirements.

The NAVIGATE G-NAF geocoding kit for ESRI is comprised a set of "Address Locators".

Different users have different requirements of the data contained in the G-NAF(Geographic National Address File). NAVIGATE has engineered the G-NAF data sets and restructured the data for friendly and easy integration with clients GIS and Information Systems.

NAVIGATE uses the G-NAF (Geographic National Address File) product from PSMA Australia as the source for reference databases. The G-NAF is delivered to NAVIGATE as a highly normalised data model that includes a number of data tables and a series of associated look-up tables containing approximately 13 million addresses and geocodes. The structure used by PSMA is well suited to compiling and checking the G-NAF, but most GIS users require a simpler “flattened” structure that facilitates easy and simultaneous access to all relevant parts of an address record without writing multi-table queries.  NAVIGATE has taken the 30 plus tables that ship with G-NAF and combined them into a single table GNAF_FLAT, that forms core of our G-NAF product suite.

The Administrative Boundaries dataset is a collection of polygon layers applicable to a wide variety of uses. PSMA Australia receives and collates data from its primary contributors and populates a standardised and normalised Integrated Data Model (IDM). The data is managed in state based schemas that separately store the primary attributes data, individual geometry and meaningful explanatory look-ups. There are differences in content and boundary definitions between jurisdictions. for example some will incorporate a detailed version of the coastline, others may omit significant bays and estuaries while others have polygons stretching far out to sea to cover islands yet may not have a cartographic coastline at all.

NAVIGATE remarkets Australia Post Postcodes boundaries that have been released by PSMA Australia in the 2007 release. Both postcode boundaries and postcode centroids are available.

Postcodes are Administrative Areas developed by Australia Post to facilitate the efficient delivery of mail. A postcode may be classed either as an area or a point-type postcode (eg. Post office box).  A postcode may have many polygons defining its boundary. The original polygon data supplied by PSMA has been clipped and infilled by NAVIGATE to coincide with ASGS state polygons. PSMA boundaries within each state have been honoured except where adjustments have been made to remove voids and overlaps.

The Transport component of this dataset encompasses the roads, rail stations and airport infrastructure networks across Australia.

The National Cadastre data set is a seamless national cadastral database of Australia's 11 million parcels. The digital cadastral boundaries and their legal identifiers have been derived from the relevant bodies from each Australian State and Territory jurisdiction.

The Points of Interest dataset contains in excess of 130,000 points of interest with feature code and name attribution.

ArcCensus enables you to build a new layer of census information from selected census attributes combined with standard or user-specified polygon sets. The census layer can then be integrated with all your existing spatial data and manipulated with standard ArcGIS functionality.

ArcCensus is NAVIGATE’s own product and has been helping users easily access Census data since first released for the 2001 census. It is an ArcGIS extension that is managed from its own toolbar. The functional specifications have been designed in consultation with demographers and users from our public sector and private enterprise clients. 

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is Australia's national statistical agency. Among many other tasks, every 5 years it conducts a national census that provides a demographic snapshot of the Australian population. The census data is published in many forms including a very thorough set of files that provide population attribute counts for the whole country down to a neighbourhood level of detail. With over 50,000 neighbourhood polygons at the finest level of detail (called SA1) and many thousands of attributes for every polygon, the data management and processing tasks are daunting , especially for an occasional user.
